Who We Are

StrategyCore K.K. is a Tokyo based technology licensing and distribution company incorporated in Japan. Our registered office is in Minato-ku, Tokyo. We are the data controller for information collected through this website. For privacy questions, you can contact us at info@strategycore.com.

What Information We Collect

We collect information in three broad categories:

• 01Information you provide directly. This includes your name, email address, company name, job title, phone number, and the content of your message when you use our contact form, and the content of messages you send to our chat assistant.
• 02Technical information collected automatically. This includes a hashed version of your IP address (we do not store the raw IP), your browser user agent, the locale you are viewing (English or Japanese), and timestamps of your visits and interactions.
• 03Information from third parties. If you reach us through LinkedIn, a partner referral, or another introduction, we may receive your name and contact details from that source.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for a limited set of purposes:

• 01Responding to inquiries and requests you send us
• 02Operating the AI chat assistant on our website
• 03Understanding how visitors interact with our content so we can improve it
• 04Detecting and preventing abuse, spam, or security incidents
• 05Complying with legal obligations under Japanese law

AI Chat Assistant

Our website includes an AI chat assistant that can answer general questions about StrategyCore, our services, and our technology partners. When you use the chat, the following information is processed:

• 01Messages you send and responses generated by the assistant
• 02A randomly generated session identifier stored temporarily in your browser to maintain conversation continuity
• 03A hashed version of your IP address and browser user agent
• 04The locale you are using (English or Japanese)

Messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing, where Anthropic acts as a data processor on our behalf under its commercial API terms. Under those terms, your messages are not used to train Anthropic's models, and they are processed in a private commercial environment rather than on the consumer Claude.ai product. Anthropic may retain API inputs and outputs for a limited period, typically up to 30 days, for abuse monitoring and trust and safety purposes, with longer retention only where required to enforce its Usage Policy or to meet a legal obligation. We do not share your chat messages with any other third party for advertising, profiling, or model training. Anthropic's commercial privacy policy and data handling terms are available at anthropic.com/legal/privacy. We also keep our own copy of chat logs in our database for up to 90 days for quality review and abuse prevention, after which they are automatically deleted. To request earlier deletion of our own copy, email info@strategycore.com.

Cookies and Browser Storage

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third party analytics cookies on this website. We do use two minimal storage mechanisms:

• 01A single authentication cookie for our internal admin dashboard. This cookie is HTTP only, signed, and only set after successful admin login. It does not affect public visitors.
• 02A browser sessionStorage entry used by the chat widget to remember your conversation within a single browsing session. This is cleared automatically when you close the tab.

Data Retention

We retain different types of information for different periods:

• 01Contact form submissions: kept as long as the business relationship is active, or until you request deletion
• 02Chat conversations: automatically deleted after 90 days
• 03Server access logs: 30 days
• 04Admin session cookies: 7 days

Third Party Services

We use a small number of third party services to run this website:

• 01Vercel (United States and global edge network) for hosting and content delivery
• 02Neon (United States) for database storage of chat logs
• 03Anthropic (United States) for the AI chat assistant
• 04Formspree (United States) for routing contact form submissions
• 05Google News RSS for the market intelligence news feed (public data only, no personal information sent)

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices. We only share the minimum information required for them to deliver the service.

International Data Transfers

Some of the service providers listed above process data in the United States. When your information is transferred outside Japan or the European Economic Area, we rely on contractual safeguards and provider certifications (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for applicable providers) to ensure an appropriate level of protection.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, correction of information that is inaccurate, deletion of your information, and objection to certain types of processing. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@strategycore.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and in any event within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Japan APPI Compliance

StrategyCore K.K. is a personal information handler (kojin jouhou toriatsukai jigyousha) under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), as amended most recently in 2022. This section sets out the information required under the APPI.

• 01Identity of the Handler: StrategyCore K.K., with registered office at Burex Five #912, 2-11-10 Shimbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo 105-0004, Japan. The Representative Director is listed on our About page.
• 02Purpose of Use (riyou mokuteki): We collect and use personal information for the following specific purposes, and will not use it for any other purpose without your consent: (a) responding to inquiries received through our contact form or chat assistant, (b) providing our licensing, distribution, and support services, (c) operating the AI chat assistant, (d) maintaining business communications with customers, partners, and prospects, (e) improving our website and services, (f) complying with legal obligations, (g) protecting our rights and preventing abuse or fraud.
• 03Provision to Third Parties: We do not provide personal information to third parties except (i) to the service providers listed in the Third Party Services section above, who act as data processors on our behalf, (ii) when required by law or court order, (iii) when necessary to protect life, body, or property, or (iv) when you consent to specific sharing.
• 04Cross Border Data Transfer: Some personal information is transferred to service providers in the United States (Anthropic, Vercel, Neon, Formspree) for processing. In line with APPI requirements, we have taken measures to ensure these providers implement protection levels equivalent to those required under Japanese law, including through contractual safeguards and provider certifications. By using this website, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in jurisdictions outside Japan.
• 05Your Rights under APPI: You have the right to request (a) disclosure of the personal information we hold about you, (b) correction or addition to inaccurate information, (c) suspension of use or deletion, and (d) suspension of third party provision. Requests should be made in writing to info@strategycore.com with sufficient information for us to identify you and verify your request. We may request proof of identity. We will respond without undue delay and, in any case, within the timeframes required under Japanese law. We do not currently charge a fee for handling these requests.
• 06Complaints: If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, please contact info@strategycore.com first so we can address it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Personal Information Protection Commission (Kojin Jouhou Hogo Iinkai), the supervisory authority for APPI, at ppc.go.jp.

GDPR (for Visitors from the European Economic Area)

If you are visiting from the EEA, we process your information on the legal bases of consent (for the chat assistant and contact form), legitimate interest (for site analytics and abuse prevention), and legal obligation (for records we are required to keep). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe we have not handled your information appropriately.

Children

This website is intended for business professionals and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

We protect information in transit with TLS encryption. IP addresses are hashed before storage. Admin access to chat logs requires authentication with a signed session cookie. We take reasonable organizational and technical measures to prevent unauthorized access, but no system is perfectly secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our practices evolve or as laws change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
